A branding exercise and logo update for a general contracting company. The company had no branding, and amateurish looking business cards. We took a look at their target customer and target project, and wanted to develop a look/feel that was upscale, but yet reflected the modern design elements of the owner and general contractor. When talking with the client, we discovered a unique color idea: he liked purple. We wanted to stand out from the competition, appeal to his target (who is often an upscale woman with high income levels and style), so we incorporated this unique (for this industry) color into the branding as a memorable and distinctive feature. We looked at competitors in the industry as well, and developed a few comp logos. This was the one the owner chose. Business cards and a new website will be forthcoming.
